Anxiety & Stress
Do you need help for anxiety and stress? Feel overwhelmed or constantly on edge?
You are not alone!
1 in 5 people in the UK have reported having these or similar feelings.
You may not be able to understand why you are feeling like you do. You may even feel like a fraud for not being able to cope with certain daily tasks. Tasks that you once considered to be easy to accomplish. You also could be experiencing physical symptoms such as tension or pain in your body, headaches, or fogginess of your thoughts.
You are in the right place. I am here to help you.
Firstly, let’s clear up the fact that anxiety and stress are perfectly normal responses and we cannot live without them. For example, a caveman being stressed and anxious about a tiger walking into their cave, is a useful response. It puts the body in a state of alertness to fight off the danger or to run away.
What we are experiencing in our modern age, is the same hormonal alerts except that they are responding to situations that don’t put us in danger. This could be an email from your boss on a Friday evening. It could be an email saying that you’ve done a great job this week, but your initial reaction might be to jump to a negative conclusion.
It’s the confusion of what’s dangerous and what’s not, that can be worked on.
Through counselling, talking therapy and hypnotherapy (a combination of hypnosis and psychotherapy), I will help you to unravel why you feel the way you do. I will also give you the tools to continue your journey as a happier, more confident you.
Hypnosis gives you the opportunity to relax, providing a much-welcomed break from the tension that anxiety and stress invariably bring with them.
After all, you cannot be relaxed and tense at the same time.
My extra training in talking therapy, also known as counselling or psychotherapy, allows me to have a deeper understanding of your issues. This enables us to work in hypnosis on these issues, whilst you’re fully relaxed.
Walk & Talk Therapy brings the proven healing power of being in nature into our therapeutic options. Recent research has found that being in and amongst nature can greatly reduce feelings of anxiety and stress. Exercise is also a wonderfully natural way of encouraging the body to relax, as it releases hormones that counteract the stress response.
By combining nature, walking, hypnotherapy and talking therapy, we can work to lower your stress and anxiety in a space that complements your goals.
Anxiety and stress are both difficult to live with and difficult to see. I will help you to see that your stress and anxiety can be managed.
